Tube Amplifier

I recently put together a tube amplifier kit with help from my friend Ed. He has both Dynaco and Halfler amps and is very familiar with them. It came in a kit that you put together yourself, it took a full day of cutting wire and soldering to put it together. Ed’s technique for twisting pairs of wire with a drill worked great!

We only missed one connection that was found during testing. I’m amazed at how clean this thing sounds when it’s loud! And the spray painted transformers look nice. I’m very happy with the purchase.

This kit, the ST-120 (Stereo 60W per channel) was purchased from Bob at Tubes4Hifi.com.

Update 8/10/14: Now paired with Klipsch RF-82 II. This sounds amazing!
